It is important that you have a two-step verification for every online profile you have. Some of us use it, others don’t. I insist on using two-step verification for every online profile as it adds an extra layer of security. If you lost your phone and backup codes you need to contact Instagram customer support.
Firstly, You need to enter the correct username and password then you will be redirected to the security code check.

Then you need to click on the request support.
You will be asked to fill a form like your e-mail used during signing-up the account, your preferred email-id.
Then you will be asked to choose which type of account
- Company or brand account.
- A personal account with photos of me
- A personal account without photos of me.
If there is any note you can fill it up in the space below.
After a few hours of wait, you will get an e-mail from Instagram depending on the type of account you choose.
If you choose a company or brand account.
You will get an e-mail like this below and you need to give a reply to this e-mail.
You need to describe your account type and state that this is an account for a brand or company.
In the next few minutes later you will get an e-mail with an 8-digit code to enter into your account.
Then go to your account settings and turn off your two-factor authentication.
If you choose a personal account with photos of me
Now you will get an e-mail like this below and you need to give a reply to this e-mail when you opt for

In the next few minutes later you will get an e-mail asking to write down your user-id and given the code on paper and take a photo of you holding that paper.
Then in the next e-mail, you will get an eight-digit code to enter into the account.
Then go to your account settings and turn off your two-factor authentication
